I got my new HD2 and right from the moment I thought of installing Android (Froyo) on it. I spend the whole weekend. The biggest problem I had is with the battery life. I tried several Froyo ROMS and all of them had the battery drain issue
These are the steps I followed for installing Froyo. Thanks for xda-developers.com
1. install hardspl.
2. Install windows custom rom. (I installed Elegancia ROM)
3. Format SD card and copy NexusHd2 android folder (http://sites.google.com/site/nexushd2android/)
4. Go to file explorer and run clrcd and haret.exe files. Android will boot here
After installing HD2 battery drained overnight without sync and data, wifi disabled. HD2 had the radio version 2.10.xxxx. After reading through the blogs I installed Setcpu. And setup the profiles. But battery drain remians the same.
Finally I upgraded HD2 Radio to 2.12.xxxxxx. And this seems to be solved the battery drain issue. Now I am easily getting more than a day with moderate usage with NexusHd2 rom. I also tried using MDeejay Evo Sense rom. But battery life is just ok, but worse than NexusHD2 rom. May be upgrading to the latest radio 2.14 or 2.15 will fix the issue.
